A Visit to the Burg

Corbin and I managed to get away for a couple days while the younger three stayed at the grandparents.  We stayed with Chase and Danielle at their apartment (I remember the good ol' days of newly married life).  Here we are enjoying lunch at Sammies - a favorite college hangout.

 We were able to attend a devotional.  They now have a huge conference center, like a mini version of the one in Salt Lake City.  It was pretty amazing.  It made the old hart gym, look so small!

 This is a view out of the windows at the Hart gym - it overlooks the track and old football field.  And if you look in the background you see my old college living quarters, Carriage House.  I ran many miles on this track!

 

The University has expanded so much over the past 20 years, it is really impressive and beautiful.

 Danielle and I had fun in the kitchen making BBQ chicken pizza, Blue Ribbon Brownies, and Cinnamon Rolls, as well as a salad!

 We took Chase some dinner at work.  He worked until the wee hours of the morning.

I caught Chase with his eyes closed.  These two watched plenty of Psych - it was fun hanging out with Chase and Danielle.  Corbin was even able to attend two college classes with Chase.

 Danielle and I squeezed in time to attend the Rexburg Temple.  It was wonderful.  I have missed going frequently to the temple, our is currently being re-modeled.

 This was my home for the my first year of college!  Lots of great roommates and memories here.

Visit to Grandparents

Corbin had to take it for a spin, too.  Now we just need to figure out how to get them back home.

Vivian is excited to be at the grandparents.  They kept asking me when Corbin and I were leaving.

We all enjoyed grandma's cooking!

Spring Break at Home - Will I Survive?

Today was our first day of spring break!  The kids all kept busy.  Corbin helped out for a few hours with a tennis camp at his high school, while the rest of us ran to Best Buy for a new Kinect game (Kinectimals, which they love) and a shopping adventure at Costco that ended with a greasy sausage and lemonade!  The kids then played with some new ward friends, while I got almost nothing done, other than prepare dinner and FHE dessert!  I need to manage my time better - no more talking on the phone for me.

I am hoping that the weather warms up so it will feel like spring.  Other things we have on our agenda include:

• movie at the theater (Tangled)
• playing at an indoor game/arcade place
• picnic and fun at the park
• hike
• lunch at Costa Vida
• trip to the library -I can't wait to pick up my book on hold, Left to tell : discovering God amidst the Rwandan holocaust (I just recently watched the movie, Hotel Rawanda, a must see)
• yard work
• paint the laundry room and boys bathroom
• clean up stamp/craft room
• visit with Tara, Niels, and Gage (they are coming up to play)!
• swimming at Y (if someone invites us, hint...hint)
• craft time
• friend time
• family time - cousins
