Photography Tips

I came across a post at the blog "feathers, freesia & fishing tackle" about the different photography tips that she learned while taking a photography class. Check it out to learn some rules and tips of photography.

I also bought some great books over a year ago from Amazon - The Digital Photography Book Volume 1 and Volume 2 by Scott Kelby. (Iam just barely opening them as I am typing). I found these books at the library and read the first volume after waiting weeks. They are now offered at Costco. I just realized that now there is a volume 3, hum....I wonder if that is at Costco also. If anyone knows please leave a comment.

Week One: Shutter Speed

But when taken at 1/500th, the ball and movement are clearer!

Oops, we have a little tummy showing! Here is a picture that I took with my DSLR of Olivia jumping into the air. We are learning about shutter speed in class. This pictures was taken at a speed of 1/500 of a second. It's fun to learn how to use my camera - I'm excited to catch some pictures of Porter at soccer practice today.

Can you believe that I am finally using my new camera that has been boxed up for probably three years?

I just got lucky enough to register for this class through Jessica Sprague's website titled "Oh Shoot! Beginning Photography".
