Corbin turns 13 today!



Corbin is a handsome young lad, I'm going to have to keep the girls away. He enjoys playing the piano, will begin basketball soon, likes to keep his family safe, has a cute laugh, is smart, and loves his family.



We wish him a Happy Birthday and want him to know that we love him!

Fantastic Stylist - Meet Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown is an old friend for the good ol' Alaska days. Our families were the best of friends and we hung out all the time during my teenage years. A few months ago I found out that Jessica lived near me and that she was an exceptional stylist! I decided to give her a try. Holy cow, I got way more than I expected - I was thrilled with the cut and color. So I convinced my sisters, Tonya and Tisha to go to her. Mom even made a special trip to town this weekend. Today I take Olivia to get her hair done, she can't wait.

Ward Party Celebrating Pioneer Day

We attended our ward party. Oh, it's so great when you don't have to think about dinner - just a side dish! The kids had a great time seeing their friends, eating popsicles, panning for gold, playing tug-of-war, and making a clothespin doll. Porter entered the pie eating contest with a friend. Porter fed the pie (while being blindfolded) to a friend!

Grandma and Daniel Visit

We were thrilled to have Daniel and Juanita join us for 1 1/2 days. It was quick but we packed a lot of fun in. Unfortunately, Corbin was at scout camp so he missed their visit.

• Walk through Albertons Park- Porter found the smallest turtle.
  
• Trip to Powell's Candy store - you can smell the sugar before you enter!
• Pizza in the park
• Shopping at the Mall
• Late sampler at Five Guys

Early Saturday morning they left along with Paul for Washington D.C. and a fun week visiting Jonathan and Carrie.

Let Freedom Ring

We had an eventful 4th of July. It began early in the morning with a hike up Table Rock with the whole family and Tisha. Oh, it was quite the hike. I was huffing and puffing and the girls were extremely exhausted. Olivia sure made it known that she wasn't having fun and that it was too hard. She cried, screamed and moaned as we ascended the hill. The view on top was spectacular and the walk down was refreshing.

Then we grabbed Subway sandwiches and head to the parade downtown B. After that we headed to Tisha's apt near the college and watched a movie to get out of the heat. The fun didn't stop there. We also got away to the park for fun and activities, then BBQed at Tisha and David's for dinner, watched another movie, and then topped the night off with the firework show!
