Will You Buy Me Something?

We just finished a game of Monopoly Deal. Vivian and I were a team so we could all play (she does play by herself also). I congratulated Vivian on making a good play and scoring us a set of properties. After my compliment, she said quickly responded "will you buy me me something?"

What? She thought that her good play warranted a shopping spree! What have I taught her?

Fun Strategy Game

This morning Porter was all ready for school by 7:05 am. I think he woke up around 5:30 am because I heard a lot of banging around in the kitchen, since the kitchen is on the other side of our bedroom wall (not a good arrangement). I finally came out at 5:40 and reminded him that he can't come out until 6:00am -don't you think that is early enough?

Since he was off to an early start we were able to sneak in a game, our newest family favorite, Dominion. Corbin received the game for his birthday. It is a unique strategy game that changes with every game because of the various set up options. The first couple times I played the game I got spanked, but now I can hold my own and sometimes even claim victory! This game can be addicting - watch out!
